Prestigious artist, pianist and national media personality, Christopher O'Riley, comes to The Alden in McLean for a single performance of "Out of My Hands" on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. O'Riley's memorable interpretations of both traditional and popular repertoire have made him a cherished bridge between music lover of all tastes and genres. Tickets are $27, $20 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue, inside the McLean Community Center.

O'Riley differs from other classical artists in two ways. First, his repertoire spans classical styles, from Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Chopin, Ravel and Busoni to contemporary artists such as Radiohead, Nirvana, Pink Floyd and Elliott Smith. Second, his unique, passionate and heartfelt piano interpretations of both classical and popular music create unforgettable musical performances. His most famous recording, "True Love Waits: O'Riley Plays Radiohead," was awarded four stars in Rolling Stone magazine. As host of the most popular classical music radio show on the air today, National Public Radio's "From the Top," O'Riley works and performs with the next generation of brilliant young musicians, demonstrating to audiences that these young artists are as diverse in their personal lives as they are in their music-making. In "Out of My Hands," O'Riley will put his classical chops to work on his own interpretations of popular music, including songs by Nirvana, R.E.M., Coldplay, The Bad Plus, Pink Floyd and others.
