YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN - Entr'Acte Theatrix

Entr’Acte Theatrix

Announces Auditions for
Mel Brooks’

Young Frankenstein
July 28, 7 – 9:30 pm

The Award-winning musical to run at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts/Crest Theatre
October 22 through November 1,2015

Auditions will be held for the South Florida premiere of Young Frankenstein, Mel Brooks’ popular musical adaptation of his own classic movie at the Palm Beach Day Academy on July 28th from 7- 9:30 pm. Entr’Acte Theatrix, whose recent productions of Into the Woods, Avenue Q,Spamalot, and The Rocky Horror Show have consistently filled the Crest Theatre, will produce the musical from October 22ndthrough November 1st at the popular Delray Beach venue.

A wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend, Brooks’ comedy masterpiece follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that’s Fronkensteen!) as he attempts to complete his grandfather’s masterwork and bring a corpse to life. Together with his oddly shaped and endearing helper Igor (that’s Eye-gor), his curvaceous lab assistant Inga, and in spite of his incredibly self-involved madcap fiancé Elizabeth, Frankenstein succeeds in creating a monster — but not without scary and quite often hilarious complications.

Kevin Black, who has helmed a number of Entr’Acte’s productions, will direct the show, and Roger Blankenship has taken on the task of musical direction.

Although the production is a non-Equity one, actors will be compensated, and a gas stipend will be provided.

All roles are open.
