The Sea Horse by Edward J. Moore -Directed by Mark Robertson - a tender, fierce, passionate, physical, ribald, and often hilarious love story. 2 actor play. Casting for HARRY BALES: 30 - 40, any ethnicity, average to tall, average build. Harry is strong, compassionate, a dreamer, a joker, a ladies man. He is a romantic but with a practical streak. This tender, ribald, and complex love story is set in a waterfront bar, the Sea Horse, where seaman Harry Bales spends his shore leave. Harry has a dream for a better life with the owner of the Sea Horse, Gertrude Blum. Gertrude and Harry share a bed, but they have never shared their inner selves with each other. Plays August 9-23 Friday and Saturdays (8 performances). Lucinda Moaney has been cast as Gertrude. Stipend will be paid. Produced through arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
