THE ADDAMS FAMILY THE MUSICAL - Little Radical Theatrics

Little Radical Theatrics is casting its Winter 2015 mainstage musical: The Westchester Regional Premiere of "The Addams Family". Directed by LRT Artistic Director, Michael Mirra; Musical Direction by Steven Loftus, and Choreography by Rosalie Burke.


REHEARSALS: begin on or around Nov 11th, weekdays 7-10 PM (approx 3 times per week) and Sundays 3-9 PM. Exact schedule will depend on role and actors' availability. Rehearsals will take place at ArtsWestchester 31 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains NY or at the theater at the Grinton I Will Library 1500 Central Ave, Yonkers NY

PERFORMANCES: Jan 16th-18th, 23rd-24th (4-5 performances) at the Joan R Pincus Theater at the Grinton I Will Library

Please submit headshot/resume for an audition appointment to littleradicals@aol.com. Please indicate your preferred time and date for auditions. Walk-ins will be seen in the order they arrive. For auditions please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music in the correct key, an accompanist will be provided.

THIS IS A NON PAYING production but to reduce transportation costs, LRT has in the past organized carpools from local subway stations with cast members who live in the Yonkers/Bronx area. Rehearsal space and theater are approx 20-35 minutes from NYC and are within walking distance of a metronorth train station.

GOMEZ ADDAMS: A man of Spanish descent who takes great pride in his family and revels in all it means to be an “Addams.”He struggles with having to keep his daughters secret from his wife, whom he adores more than death. Smart, comedic actor with tenor vocals.

MORTICIA ADDAMS: Attractive, leggy, the strength of the family. An easy comedic actress with a sexy, dry wit. Feels her husband is hiding something from her and will use any tactic to lure the secret out. A strong dancer/mover with mezzo soprano vocals

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS:Wednesday is a young woman who has the same dry wit and sensibility of her mother. Finds love with a “normal” boy (Lucas) and wants to introduce his family to hers. Experiences the youthful drama that comes with first love. Lucas can actually puts a smile on her face. Strong pop belt vocals.

UNCLE FESTER: The androgynous family member who serves as the musicals narrator. He is larger than life, an energetic, joyous, child-like presence. A vaudeville style comedian with tenor vocals.

LUCAS BEINEKE: Attractive, average young man. Fell in love with Wednesday Addams and plans to marry her. Experiences the youthful pain and drama of young love and struggles with the differences between his family and the Addams family. Contemporary pop tenor vocals.

MAL BEINEKE: Stuffy father of 19 year old Lucas and exasperated husband to his rhyming wife, Alice. At one time was a follower of The Grateful Dead but has lost that side of himself. Always looking out for his family. Male actor with high baritone/ tenor vocals.

ALICE BEINEKE: Caucasian woman. Mother of 19 year old Lucas, devoted to her family so she puts aside her own desires. Quirky female who often speaks in rhyme. While at the Addams Family dinner party, she drinks a potion that causes her to let her hair down and speak her truth. Comedic actress with high soprano / belt vocals.

PUGSLEY ADDAMS: Young male actor who plays 12 years old. A charming, funny, husky boy who loves being tortured by his sister. He wants to ensure he won’t lose his sister to her new boyfriend so he takes matters into his own hands. Strong, high vocals. Voice not yet changed

GRANDMA: She is a feisty 102 year old woman. Fun and quirky, but don’t mess with Grandma. Comedic actress with strong character vocals.

THE ANCESTORS: Male and female ensemble singer/dancers who are smart performers. Must sing and dance or at least move very well and have great comedic timing and a quirky sensibility.
