TOTEM POLE PLAYHOUSE ANNOUNCES
LOCAL AUDITIONS FOR 2014 SEASON
Totem Pole Playhouse, America’s beloved summer theatre located in Caledonia State Park will hold local auditions for their upcoming season on March 15, 2014 at the Majestic Theater in Gettysburg.
Totem Pole Playhouse, located in Caledonia State Park, has announced local auditions for the upcoming 2014 season. The audition will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 11am to 5pm at Gettysburg College Majestic Theater, 25 Carlisle St, Gettysburg rehearsal hall with registrations beginning at 10:30am. Those wishing to audition should prepare a brief song or a one-minute monologue in the style of the show and role they are interested in being considered for.
Rehearsals for Steel Magnolias will begin on Friday, May 16th and the show will run May 30th through June 15th. Ring of Fire, the Music of Johnny Cash will start rehearsals June 6th and the show runs from June 20th through July 13th. Rehearsals for Godspell will commence on July 25th and the production will play August 8th through August 31st. The Foreigner running July 18th through August 3rd has been cast.
Totem Pole will hold separate auditions for children ages 8 to 12 for a children’s choir to be included in their production of Godspell; as well as, auditions for Totem Pole’s holiday production of A Christmas Carol at a later date.
Totem Pole Playhouse is a fully-professional summer theater which as of this year operates under a Council of Stock Theater (C.O.S.T.) agreement with the Actor’s Equity Association. Unlike past years the playhouse will be casting each show separately rather than hiring a set group of actors who will perform in all productions.
