Performers sought for TAM’s fall production: The Sorcerer

Auditions for Theater at Monmouth fall production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Sorcerer will be held on Monday, July 14th beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Cumston Hall, Monmouth.

Interested singers, dancers, and actors are invited to schedule an audition for the production which will be directed by associate artistic director, Bill Van Horn. The ten-performance run begins on Thursday, September 18thand closes on September 28. Chorus rehearsals will begin the week of August 19th, and full company rehearsals will begin on September 2nd. This is a very quick, professional rehearsal process and those in the show will be called several evenings a week and at least one weekend day.

Key roles are still available. Members of the chorus are needed as well. There are no roles for children in this production but high school and college students are encouraged to audition.

The Sorcerer previews Thursday, September 18 and opens Friday, September 19 Additional performances dates and times are September 20, 21, 25, 26, 27 at 7:30 p.m., and September 20, 21, 27, and 28 at 1:00 p.m. The production will be performed with full set, lights, and costumes, at historic Cumston Hall in Monmouth. All rehearsals are held in Monmouth. Accompaniment will be provided by a pit band.
