Auditions for “Shrek, The Musical” at The Grand Theatre
The Grand Theatre, located at 1575 South State Street, Salt Lake City, will be holding auditions for “Shrek, The Musical” on Monday, July 21, 2014. The auditions will be from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will be held in the Annex, located at 1610 South 250 East, in the south east corner of the South City Campus. David Schmidt will be directing the production and it will run October 16-November 1, 2014 (no performance on Halloween) at the Grand Theatre. Rehearsals will begin August 30, 2014.
Those wishing to audition will need to call the Grand Theatre box office at (801) 957-3322 to schedule an audition time. Please prepare 32 bars of an upbeat Broadway song that shows your range. We’re looking for those with solid vocal, dance, and acting abilities for all ensemble, and lead roles. Children 10 years of age and older are welcome and encouraged to audition. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring your sheet music.
