Bay City Players Announces Auditions

Announcing auditions for the musical, RENT, with Book, Music and Lyrics by Jonathan Larson.
Sunday, May 17th, 2015 at 7 p.m.

Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Ave., Bay City, MI 48708.

We are looking for women and men ages 18 to 40 to fill principal and ensemble roles. Please be prepared to sing a song of your choice, preferably in the same style as RENT (rock musical), but not from RENT. You may sing as much or as little as you'd like. Be sure to choose music that best displays your vocal range and features your strengths! Similar shows might include Tick, Tick, Boom, American Idiot or Spring Awakening. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring clearly marked, legible music. You may also sing a capella if desired. Please note: this is not RENT School Edition! We are presenting the original Broadway version which includes mature language and content.

Set in the East Village of New York City, RENT is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today.
