We're CASTING OUR READING SERIES:
This is a reading series on our dark nights for The Water Children by Wendy MacLeod. We have a Theatre Authority Agreement which means we can use AEA and SAG-AFTRA actors. There is no pay. The point is to get a new writer (or new to NY writer) a chance to have their work heard, and give some more performance opportunities for actors like you and we're taking a sliding scale ticket price of $1-20 at the door (we have to charge a ticket price not a donation because of the agreement.) and this is to cover the cost of the theatre rental.
Please send an email with the NAME OF READING/CHARACTER in the subject line and attach your photo/resume. There will be no audition, we're casting from headshot submissions. Please be available for the reading date and time and submit by EOD on 9/15/2012.
There will be no rehearsal. We will send you the script and you will be asked to be familiar with it. That night, we'll read it.

Huron Indian.
Susan Cadillac Late 50's. Caucasian. Arborist/dendrologist. She first met Axel on the
second night of the 1967 Detroit riots. She would say that she longs to know the
meaning of life, but doesn?t really.
<CAST> Lilly Smith Susan's 30ish daughter. Caucasian. A no-nonsense banker by trade. An
athlete by nature.
Henry “Hank” Ford • Black. A shockingly beautiful young man. His skin is the color of
God's.
READING 4:
Tuesday October 9th at 8pm is End of the Dial and Bitch Kitty vs. Mutants of the Wasteland by John Philip Hamilton
END OF THE DIAL
ANNE – CAST. Early-forties, pirate radio DJ, reckless, salty, fully immersed in rock-n-roll life-style to own detriment.
DAVID – Anne’s younger brother, near-forty, aimless homebody, TV junkie, asexual, fabricator, adrift between worlds of mother and sister.
LAZLO – Mid-twenties, student DJ, handsome, attracted to Anne but confused by her person and his feelings for her.
DADDY – Late-forties, a vision or hallucination or spirit of Anne and David’s deceased father, veteran, sensitive, buoyant.
RADIO CALLERS – Various male callers.
BITCH KITTY
NEED 6 men, 6 women

Brief description of play: In a post-apocalyptic Californialand, the remnants of society is protected by roller-skating
squads of enforcers. Bitch Kitty and her Westworld Wrecking Crew help to keep the peace, that is until the evil Duke of
Las Vegas devises a plan to spur an uprising by the mutants of the wasteland and topple the protectors of the western
world.
