FPAC SLATES OPEN AUDITIONS FOR PETER PAN
FRANKLIN, MA – The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will hold open auditions for the beloved, family favorite musical Peter Pan on Tuesday, August 26 at 38 Main Street in Franklin. Auditions begin at 5 p.m. for boys only ages 7-9 (limited roles for this age group) and continue at 5:30 for girls and boys ages 10-12 (limited roles), at 6:00 for teens, and at 7:00 for adults. Please prepare 16 bars of a musical theater song that is not from Peter Pan. A dance combination will be taught at the audition. Callbacks for some roles will be held on August 28 at 7 p.m.
With performances October 17-19 and October 24-26, Peter Pan will launch FPAC’s 24th season and premiere year in THE BLACK BOX, the company’s new home and performance venue in downtown Franklin. The TONY Award-winning musical features such memorable songs as “I’m Flying,” “I Won’t Grow Up,” “I’ve Gotta Crow” and “Never Never Land,” along with iconic characters Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys, and the Darling children, Wendy, Michael and John. A musical adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s 1904 play and 1911 novel, Peter Pan showcases music by Morris “Moose” Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green. FPAC’s production of this soaring, magical adventure will be presented with live professional orchestra and Flying By Foy.
