MRS. MASLOW'S BOARDING HOUSE - Vagabond Players

Casting Call: Actor (Male) Needed, Vagabond Players, Baltimore, MD

One actor is needed for The Vagabond Players' presentation of Cheryl Adam's screwball comedy, Mrs. Maslow's Boarding House, directed by George Andre Tittle.

Jilted, jobless and homeless, Meredith Maslow flees Manhattan for her grandmother’s house in Baltimore, only to discover that the sprawling Mt. Vernon home is no longer a placid retreat. Grandma Maslow, left penniless when widowed, has converted her home into a boardinghouse for a motley crew of lost souls and outcasts. But tough economic times once again have Mrs. Maslow on the brink of bankruptcy, and the fun begins when Meredith and the boarders cook up an outrageous scheme to set things right.

Character Description: Jo Jo Pinkie Pinkerton: Mrs. Maslow's live-in
housekeeper-cook. A 50-something transvestite who looks like Donna Reed but sounds like Pa Cartwright. Outrageous and indomitable, Pinkie is fiercely protective of her little “flock.”

Performances of 'Mrs. Maslow's Boarding House' are at 8:00pm on Fridays/Saturdays and at 2:00pm on Sundays, July 25-August 10. Rehearsals are in progress. Interested actors should contact Producer Ann Mainolfi,
(410) 239-8946. THIS IS AN UNPAID, NON-UNION PRODUCTION.
