LEGALLY BLONDE JR. - Fox Valley Rep Non Equity Auditions

September 2014, St. Charles, IL - The Fox Valley Rep Performing Arts Academy is searching for the best and brightest young talent in the Fox Valley ages 8-18 to audition for the fall Youth Ensemble musical production, Legally Blonde Jr. Auditions will take place at Fox Valley Rep's home on September 26 & 27, 2014- Pheasant Run Resort (4051 E. Director Jacque Lueken returns to Fox Valley Repertory after directing the youth ensemble productions of Annie Jr., Alice in Wonderland and It's a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play. Music Director Jeffrey Poindexter will also return to Fox Valley Repertory after music directing several of their professional musical productions including the critic acclaimed Sisters of Swing, Nunsense, and Forever Plaid.

Lueken also serves as the Executive Director of Three Cat Education and is a Director at New York's Long Lake Camp for the Arts. She is a Director at Roosevelt University and an Artist at The University of Chicago.

Legally Blonde Jr. Audition Information

This is an audition only program. Auditions will be held Friday, September 26 from 4:00-6:00pm and on Saturday, September 27 from 10:00am-1:00pm. Actors are asked to bring an 8 x 10 photo/headshot attached to a proper actor's resume (if experienced). Please memorize a 1 minute monologue in the style of the show which portrays a character you are most interested in playing.You will also need to prepare and memorize 32 bars of a song from a similar show. Bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Do not bring CDs or sing a song from the show. Singing a capella is not recommended. Be prepared to dance with proper shoes and clothing.
