KONG’S NIGHT OUT

Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks, located at 221 W. Parker Road, Suite 580 in Plano, at the northwest corner of 75 and Parker Rd. in the Ruisseau Village Shopping Center.
Brief Synopsis:
This is the story of what happened in the hotel room next to the hotel room where Fay Wray was whisked out into the Manhattan night by King Kong. There's always a backstory, and in this case, it’s a door-slamming farce meticulously coordinated with the events depicted in the classic 1933 movie.
Roles: 5 men, 3 women
Walter Winchell (voiceover)
Myron Siegel - 30s-40s, energized and driven theatre producer with bad luck
Sally Charmaine - Myron’s mother, blunt and brash.
Daisy - 20s, brunette, bug-eyed and in general awe of everything
Little Willie - a well-dressed thug who likes using big words
Bertrille Siegel - Myron’s wife, a bit younger than he is and cheating on him with Carl
Sig Higginbottom - 60s and wealthy with a middle European accent
Ann Farrow - 20s, beautiful blonde actress
Carl Denham - 30s-40s, brusque and succinct, the mortal enemy of Myron
Jack Driskel - about 30, sweetly handsome and terminally sincere, in love with Ann

- Please prepare a one-minute, memorized, comedic monologue.
- Be prepared to read scenes from the script.
- Please bring a resume and head shot.
- References may be required.
- Actors and technicians will receive stipends.
- Rehearsals will be in Plano and will begin on or around the week of August 1, 2016.
