The Area Stage Company and Theatre Conservatory is holding auditions for the Tony Award winning musical, In the Heights. Auditions will be held on May 31st at 6:00pm. Please prepare a monologue and sixteen bars of a musical theatre song.
In the Heights is a musical with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes. The story is set over the course of three days, involving an ensemble cast of characters in the largely Dominican-American neighborhood of Washington Heights in New York City.
Rehearsals will begin July 11th, Monday through Friday 2:00pm-8:00pm. The show opens August 5th and runs through August 21st.
