The first in the series focuses on Musical Theatre Audition Technique, and will feature Kevin Duda, from the original Broadway cast of the musical sensation 'The Book of Mormon' and currently appearing on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning 'Beautiful: The Carol King Musical.' (10/1/2014) - A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts with performances from Wednesday, Oct. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 9. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at The Smith Center box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

This year's tournament raised a record $1,367,749.00 for local children's charities. Friends of the Playhouse donated $20,347.49, which earned a $5086.87 match from Sammons Financial Group, Birdies for Charity sponsor. The total of $25,434.36 set a new Playhouse record.
