Twice the trouble... four times the fun! Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) is thrilled to present the WORLD PREMIERE production of TWO TIMES TWO, A New Comedy Play by Samuel Warren Joseph. Directed by T. J. Castronovo, this new comedy is on stage at Teatro Wego! Theatre, 177 Sala Ave. in Westwego, November 5-21, 2010. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30PM and Sundays at 2PM. After directing the comedy hits, WILD MUSHROOMS, VIAGARA FALLS and THE SICILIAN BACHELOR, Director T. J. Castronovo returns to JPAS for the WORLD PREMIERE production of TWO TIMES TWO. Meet Rick and Debbie, Paul and Linda - two married couples, best friends and business partners for thirty years, meet for a celebration dinner where they learn that they have a LOT more in common than just business! Unbeknown to the other two, each spouse is having an affair with the other's spouse! See what happens as Debbi and Paul, Rick and Linda untangle the possibilities and learn to love the one's they're with in this new comedy!

The Cast

Mary Lee Gibbons (Debbie) was last seen at JPAS in THE SICILIAN BACHELOR as Milian Black and also in MID-LIFE! THE CRISIS MUSICAL. Local credits include Big Easy Award-winning productions of HAY FEVER at Le Petit, AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN at Le Chat Noir and PRIVATE EYES at True Brew Theatre. She has acted locally with the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, nationally with The National Shakespeare Company, internationally in THE MURDER GAME at the King's Head Theatre, London and in radio broadcasting with MLB's Tampa Bay Rays.

David Jacobs (Paul) A veteran of Northshore theatre, David is making his second JPAS appearance after playing Moe Crubbs in the critically acclaimed JPAS production of VIAGARA FALLS earlier this year. In the past 11 years , he's appeared in over 30 productions at Slidell Little Theatre (where he is a five-time Ginny award winner), Skyfire theater in Covington, Luke's Brisket and Broadway Dinner Theatre and Cutting Edge Productions. A few of his favorite roles include Fagin in OLIVER!, Louie in LOST IN YONKERS, Pseudolus in ...FORUM, Paul in MISERY, Rev. John Hale in THE CRUCIBLE, Gooper in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF and Arthur Duncan in PTERODACTYLS. He is also a director with such credits as I HATE HAMLET, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and THE SOUND OF MUSIC. He is currently on the Board of Directors at Slidell Little Theatre.

Dane Rhodes (Rick) has directed and acted on New Orleans' and world stages for the past thirty years. He was last seen on the JPAS stages starring in WILD MUSHROOMS. He is owner of two production companies: DEM Boys Productions and Sandi Roads Theatrical Productions, LLC. Some of his acting credits include the films A LOVE SONG FOR BOBBY LONG where he starred with John Travolta and Scarlet Johannsen, JUST MY LUCK with Lindsy Lohann and DEJA VU with Denzel Washington. Some of his stage credits include the plays MACBETH AT THE GATES- a world premiere with Roy Marsden, the world premiere of MR. PARADISE by Tennessee Williams and THE MURDER GAME, which premiered in The West End of London. He is the director of pieces such as the critically acclaimed PILLOWMAN, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE.

Mary Pauley (Linda) Recent roles include Marastella in JPAS' THE SICILIAN BACHELOR and the villain in MURDERED TO DEATH at Rivertown. With a B.F.A. in acting, Mary has worked professionally in Dallas and New York, along with her years (and years!) of community theatre in Texas and Oklahoma. Mary enjoys working on a variety of New Orleans area stages.

JPAS is pleased to collaborate with director T.J. Castronovo for another premiere comedy. His company's production of VIAGARA FALLS has recently enjoyed a successful Off-Broadway run in New York City. Castronovo is a veteran actor, producer and director. As an actor, he performed in over one hundred TV shows and for three years played Tommy the Bartender in "Taxi". As a television and film producer, his work includes: episodes of the series, "Tales From The Darkside" and the CBS series "Police Brass;" the feature films "Double Revenge" and "The Shipment;" and most recently, "The Boiler Maker." Castronovo received the Drama League Critics Award for directing "Brooklyn USA" at the Actor's Forum Theater. Other directorial credits of stage and film include: the feature film "TheBiz;" several episodes of "Tales From the Darkside;" and the off-Broadway world premiere production of WILD MUSHROOMS.

Founded in 1978 by Dennis G.
