This holiday season, The NOLA Project and the New Orleans Museum of Art present their tenth collaboration, bringing one of Shakespeare's most beautiful and haunting plays, THE WINTER'S TALE, to NOMA's Great Hall.

Directed by NOLA Project Artistic Director, A.J. Allegra, THE WINTER'S TALE tells the story of a king who is driven mad by suspicion and jealousy, loses everything, and must find the forgiveness in his heart in order to regain his life's most valuable possession: love. One of Shakespeare's later plays, Winter's Tale is rich with beautiful verse and tinged with magical element. This is a beautiful piece for the holidays and is a welcome story of redemption from a man not named Scrooge.

"THE WINTER'S TALE is Shakespeare writing at the end of his career and at the top of his game," says Allegra. "It is an endlessly fascinating story of human redemption spanning sixteen years, two continents, and several generations of family. I believe this play to be a warm and touching human story perfect for the holiday season and elegantly set inside NOMA's gorgeous Great Hall."

"NOMA is delighted to collaborate with The NOLA Project again to bring a classic Shakespearean play to NOMA's Great Hall after the popularity of Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night," said Susan M. Taylor, NOMA's Director. "In 2015, art museums are more than just homes for works of art. Our continued partnership with The NOLA Project allows us the opportunity to offer our visitors an innovative experience of both visual and performing arts."

Al Allegra directs Sean Glazebrook, Kristin Witterschein, Graham Burk, Greg Baber, Monica R. Harris, Julia DeLois, Khiry Armstead, Thomas LaGrange, Chris Marroy, Kyle Woods, James Bartelle, Michael Krikorian, Cuba Hatheway and Keith Claverie.
