The Broadway smash hit play (with music) is given a unique staging at Rhino Studio 237 in an immersive, interactive, theatre-in-the-round setting.
Rhino Theatre has set a new spin on the show, where the cast starts out as students of the fictional Saint Norbert's Academy for Wayward Children (a co-ed boarding school - in homage to the orphanage Peter and his friends are from in the novel on which the show is based). Using their own imagination, and the grounds of the Academy to spin this fantastical tale of the Neverland we never knew - with you (the audience) as an inclusive part of the action and creation of the story – the show works to increasingly blur the lines between reality and fantasy - between the Academy grounds and the island of Neverland – and transports audiences deeper into a world of pure adventure and imagination, where anything is possible.
Join us this spring as the students of Saint Norbert's take you on their imaginative journey into the world of Peter and the Starcatcher and make you remember the joys and wonders of childhood play - and its ability to transport you anywhere and to be anything you want to be! Full of swashbuckling (s)word fights, "beautiful" mermaids, flying cats, a rather aggressive group of mollusks, and so much more - combining the whimsical creativity you have come to expect from Disney, mixed with the smart (and slightly irreverent) comedic flair of shows like Family Guy and emotional heart of shows like This Is Us, this is an evening of theatrical magic that is sure to appeal to all ages!
This production is presented in a uniquely stylized, 90 seat state-of-the art black box theatre. Due to the intentionally intimate nature of the seating arrangement for this production - to fully immerse audiences in the show - seating for the production is extremely limited and assigned. It is highly recommended that you purchased your tickets early to ensure you get the best seats available.
The show features James Ciccarelle as "Boy/Peter", Danielle Becht as "Molly", Thomas Becht as "Ted", Evan Gray as "Prentiss", Jesse Bush as "Black Stache", Matt Coakley as "Smee", Adam New as "Slank", Chris Gatterdam as "Aster", Donald Pauselius as "Mrs. Bumbrake", Laura Bolt as "Alf", Bailey Shada as "Captain Scott", Angela Romano as "Mack", Bobby Becht as "Sanchez", Mia Ciccarelle as "Hawking Clam", Aidan Harn-Flood as "Fighting Prawn", Brad Bebout as "Grempkin", and Olivia Kozlevcar as "Teacher"; with Direction by Patrick Francis Mahn, Choreography by Mollie Gash, and Musical Direction by Stephanie Mangioglu.
