Dreamcatcher & Playwrights Theatre to Premiere 100 YEARS, 10/2-19 Photos Dreamcatcher & Playwrights Theatre to Premiere 100 YEARS, 10/2-19
(9/15/2014) - Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, and Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey of Madison are co-producing the premiere production of Richard Dresser's 100 Years. This dark comedy set sometime in the not-too-distant future has been developed on stages across the country before coming to New Jersey. 100 Years plays October 2 through 19, with talkbacks following the October 5 and 12 matinees.

(9/14/2014) - Joe Piscopo took the stage at The Ciccone Theatre recently, and BroadwayWorld was on hand to snap some photos! As Joe Piscopo tells it, NBC in a moment of insanity replaced the original cast of Saturday Night Live (Dan Aykroyn, John Belushi, Gilda Radner etc) with Joe Piscopo and a new cast which included Eddie Murphy. After seeing Joe's act at a great venue in Paramus New Jersey named The Ciccone Theatre, I witnessed first hand the brilliance of the network's decision to put Joe in SNL in 1980.

(9/13/2014) - Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, presents Moliere's classic comedy The School for Wives, translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur and directed by Mark Wing-Davey. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, today, September 13 and continue through Sunday, October 5. The opening night performance is Friday, September 19 at 8pm.

(9/12/2014) - Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University has announced its September programming, highlighted by the museum's second annual Great Gatsby Party on Saturday, September 20 (7 p.m. - 11 p.m.). This year's lavish reception will feature handcrafted hors d'oeuvres, 1920s-inspired cocktails, period music, dancing and gambling. Guests are encouraged to don vintage or reproduction Prohibition-era attire, as many did when the museum threw its first such themed event last summer.
