bergenPAC Announces Upcoming Events: Wilson Phillips and More

Wilson Phillips first appeared in 1990, flaunting a harmony-rich sound that helped send three singles from their first album, "Hold On", "Release Me", and "You're in Love", to the top of the Billboard charts. Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips comprise the vocal trio, whose sudden success was matched by an equally impressive pedigree. Don’t Miss Wilson Phillips perform LIVE at bergenPAC, Friday, July 13th at 8PM. Tickets are available at or or by calling the box office at 201 227 1030.

The Wilson sisters and Phillips grew up together in Southern California in the 1970s and 1980s. The three shared a love of music and songwriting, and developed their own style of vocal harmonies. In 1989, the trio signed with SBK Records. The group is also known for being the offspring of prominent musicians; the Wilsons are the daughters of BrIan Wilson of The Beach Boys, while Phillips's parents are John Phillips and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas.

Wilson Phillips recently returned to the spotlight this year with a new album, Dedicated, and a reality show on TV Guide Network callEd Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On, which documents their efforts to return to the spotlight. Still Holding On shows singers Wendy & Carnie Wilson and Chynna Phillips as they work together on their comeback, which includes heading back into the studio, as well as traveling for live performances.
