World Premiere of Breaking Through The Box's 'Faith In Shackles' at Luna Stage

Breaking Through the Box Theatre Company will present the world premiere of Faith in Shackles at Luna Stage in West Orange, NJ for a one-weekend run beginning November 11th.

Faith in Shackles is a new play by Justin Giachetti, and the first production of Breaking Through the Box's inaugural season. In a world of religious radicalism and terrorism, a young lawyer, Ruth, is pushed to her limits with her new case: defend eight historical women who have each had a special relationship with God. Through discovering the truth of these women's stories, Ruth combats her own biases against religion and learns the true meaning of having faith.

Featured in the cast are Liz Carlin as Ruth, Melanie Randall as Daughter (Eve), Marisa Giachetti as Lover (Mary Magdalene), Deborah Bjornsti as Mother (Virgin Mary), Lisa Sim as Messenger ((Liz Trobishi), Margaret Rose as Virgin (Saint Agnes), Rachael Tucker as Writer (Anne Frank), Julianna Long as Warrior (Joan of Arc), Alyssia Marte as Priestess (Tituba), Madelyn Reilly as Ruler (Queen Mary I), David Nikolas as Father, Dylan Evans as Son, and Anthony Paglia as Spirit.

Performances are Friday, November 11th at 7:30pm, Saturday, November 12th at 3pm and 7:30pm, with its run concluding on Sunday, November 13th at 3pm. Tickets are $20 (with a discounted student ticket rate at $15), and are available for purchase online at https://bttb.booktix.com/ .There will a half hour Talk Back with the Writer/Director and Cast following all performances.

Breaking Through The Box was founded in Summer 2016 with the goal of being a forum for new work to cultivate, as well as a way for old work to be given a new life.
