Singer/songwriter Mary Fahl will perform at Hamilton Stage for the Performing Arts in Rahway on Saturday, December 19th at 8 p.m. Tickets are just $28 and can be purchased at www.ucpac.org. The concert is part of the on-going Split Level Concert Series which highlights critically acclaimed singer-songwriters in a uniquely intimate setting.

"Sounding like no other singer of her generation" (Allmusic.com), Mary Fahl is an expressive, emotional singer/songwriter who first achieved fame as lead singer and co-founder of the mid-1990s NYC-based chamber-pop group October Project. The hallmark of their sound was Mary's awe-inspiring power vocals over gorgeous melodies played with passion and sophistication.

Since the band disbanded, Mary has released several compelling albums, including the fantastic re-working of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon," her original studio album "The Other Side of Time," and her acclaimed album "Love and Gravity." Mary's latest album, "Live at the Mauch Chunk Opera House," is a collection of twenty-four tracks recorded live at one of America's oldest vaudeville theaters and filmed for PBS. Fahl's elegant, cinematic songs draw on classical and world music sources, American art song, and thinking man's folk-pop. She performs with an earthy, viscerally powerful contralto that Boston Globe critic Steve Morse calls "a voice for the gods that can transport listeners to other realms."

Rachael Sage will open the show. A soulful vocalist and innovative multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and producer, Rachael has become one of the busiest touring artists in independent music, performing 100+ dates a year with her band The Sequins throughout the US, UK, Europe and Asia. She has earned a loyal following for her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work, soulful vocals. and improvisational audience interaction.

Upcoming Split Level Concerts include Owen Danoff and Cariad Harmon at The Loft at UCPAC on January 23rd, Shannon McNally at The Loft at UCPAC on February 27th, and Rod Picott at The Loft at UCPAC on March 12th.
