Based on the blockbuster movie, the stage musical version of The Wedding Singer takes the stage of the Grand Theatre in a Road Company Theater production starring Tim Rinehart as Robbie Hart and Amy Sprouse as Julia Sullivan, the roles made famous by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore on the big screen. The Wedding Singer, an entertaining romantic comedy, will run May 2 - May 18 (Thursdays at 7pm; Friday and Saturdays at 8pm; Sundays at 2pm) in the Grand Theatre, located at 405 S. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ. Tickets, ranging from $22 - $25, are available at www.roadcompany.com or 856-728-2120.

The Wedding Singer, which debuted on Broadway in 2006, takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. It's 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.

Asked what drew her to The Wedding Singer, director and choreographer Jodi Raditz said, "I always loved the movie and who doesn't love the music of the 80's? I grew up in the 80's, remember them well, and was excited to go back and relive the music and dances of that time. The movie and musical are very similar for the most part. People can expect to see lots of familiar 80's dance styles from Michael Jackson to Pat Benatar, as well as classics like the Roger Rabbit and The Cabbage Patch."
