THE LIAR, Michael DuBois Solo Circus, Dance Fest and More Set for Centenary Stage, March 2014

The excitement doesn't stop at Centenary Stage Company (CSC) as spring rolls in bringing with it a variety of entertainment. From the continuation of the professional theatre production The Liar, to a family fun-filled performance in The Little Theatre, to the rocking St. Patrick's Day concert, CSC has it all.

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, as refracted in a theatrical fun-house mirror with CSC's Spring comedy, David Ive's hilarious adaptation of The Liar will run February 21-March 9 at The Lackland Center. Dorante is charming, handsome, and a pathological liar. When he arrives in Paris, his outlandish tales amaze and convince all who hear them, but for each problem his clever lying solves, it creates two new ones. The Liar is sponsored by heath Village and Bea McNally's and tickets are $25 for adults on Matinees and Fridays and $27.50 on Saturdays with discounts for seniors, students and children under 12. Thursday evening tickets are $25 with a two-for-one Date Night discount when purchased at the door, two hours prior to the performance.

The popular childrens' books by Laura Numeroff are brought to life in Centenary Stage's Young Audience Series. On Saturday, March 15th at 11 am, audiences can find out what happens If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. If a spunky little mouse wants a cookie, he surely will get thirsty and ask for a glass of milk to go with it. So begins the comic complications of an adventure that will delight young audience members. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie is sponsored in part by Target. Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Seating is by general admission in The Little Theatre.

Back by popular demand, Michael DuBois Solo Circus is a fast paced, audience interactive variety show featuring an all-original presentation of magic, juggling, mentalism, and circus & sideshow stunts all wrapped in a blanket of Comedy. This event returns to The Lackland Center on March 16 at 2pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and seniors and $17.50 for children under 12 when purchased in advance. There is also an optional post-show workshop for $18.50 per participant.

The 5th Annual Blues Bash continues its tradition of bringing the best national acts to the region, with this year's headliners Samantha Fish on Friday, March 21 and The Royal Southern Brotherhood on Saturday, March 22. Friday night tickets start at $20 and Saturday night tickets start at $30 with VIP tickets available for both nights. A Flex pass to attend both nights is $45.

This St. Patrick's Day, audiences can celebrate in style at the Lackland Center with Lúnasa on March 15 at 8 PM. This virtuoso ensemble is internationally acknowledged as the hottest Irish acoustic group on the planet. The band has appeared at internationally renowned venues such as The Hollywood Bowl, National Concert Hall in Dublin, the Sydney Opera House and even the White House. All tickets are $25 in advance, sponsored by Heath Village, Hackettstown Regional Medical Center and Fulton Bank.

The end of March kicks off the start of CSC's annual Dance Fest with a performance by the virtuosic and dynamic Lustig Dance Theatre, on Mar 30 at 2 PM. A Flex Pass for the entire Dance Fest, which will also feature Art of Motion Dance Theatre on April 5 and Moe-tion Dance Theater on April 11, is available for $37.50. Tickets for individual performances will be $20 in advance, with discounts for seniors and children. Dance Fest is sponsored by The New Jersey School of Dance Arts.
