School's in Session for Dream Theater's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

Dream Theater Productions is excited to announce casting for its upcoming production of Disney's High School Musical! based on the Emmy Award winning Disney Channel hit musical. Troy, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella, a shy academically gifted transfer student, discover they share a secret passion for singing. When they audition together for the lead roles in the school musical, it threatens East High's rigid social order and sends their peers into an uproar.

Leading the cast are Rob Ryan as Troy Bolton and Vanessa A. Sierra as Gabriella Montez. Other featured classmates at East High are Rachel Ann Raeon (Sharpay Evans), BrIan Keith Granziani (Ryan Evans), Susan Ramirez (Taylor McKessie), Brett Hennessey Jones (Chad Danforth), Ashely Kraus (Kelsi Neilson) and Michael Magielnicki (Zeke Baylor).

Rounding out the ensemble is Amanda Chiappetta, Megan Lynn Garretson, Jillian Mauro, Aaron D. McMillan, Jason Muldowney, Jason Myers, Abigail Painter, Katelynn Perez, Alexys Pulsinelli, Grace Rivera, Jesse Simpson, BrIan Smith, Amaya White and Zoey Woody.

High School Musical is being staged by Dream Theater executive artistic director Bernard J. Solomon and choreographed by Tim McGarrigal. The creative team also includes music director Bruce De La Cruz, scenic designer J Branson, lighting designer Erin O'Brien, associate director Matthew Annis, associate choreographer Jenny Holahan and associate music director Patrick Phillips. Ilene Greenbaum serves as the Music Supervisor.

Dream Theater Productions' mission is to help aspiring performers gain valuable performance credits and experience while establishing themselves within the New York Theater community. Each Dream Theater production features 4 - 5 Actors' Equity Members while the remaining cast is comprised of non-equity performers who will be earning Equity Points as well as a modest salary that remunerates their worth as professional actors. In addition, each production donates 400 tickets to under served communities in the local NJ/NYC area. We are currently in residence at The Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, NJ.
