The Players Guild of Leonia continues its long tradition of fun enjoyable Children's Theater that provides a local family event to be enjoyed by all with THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER.

Directed by Rachel Alt and starring local talented actors, Alison Miller, Irene Hort, Justin Krass, and Matthew Fennerly, this show is PURE FUN and will leave your children inspired.

In this famous tale four actors gather onstage to act out a play written for a cast of 20! They are very confident of their skills and, of course, craziness ensues! Costumes everywhere, props being used incorrectly, sword fighting with fish, tantrums being thrown, and under it all, our four beloved Commedia characters, Punchin the Rooster, Rosetta the Flirt, Columbina the Maid and Arlequin the Trickster.

It's a classic story. Two identical-looking boys from completely different backgrounds switch places. Rich swaps with poor. Poor swaps with rich. Edward is a lonely Prince who just wants someone to play with and Tom is a poor boy, looking for adventure. They both get more than they bargained for! This take on the classic story of mixed-identity is ripe with physical comedy, clowning, antics and sight gags! Four actors play ALL the roles and not everything goes as planned. Come see it for yourself and join in the FAMILY FUN!
