Families are invited to join us at the Bickford Theatre this March for a charming, well-seasoned blend of folk tales from around the world. The Morris Museum is pleased to announce that a production of Stone Soup and Other Stories will be held at the Bickford Theatre on Saturday, March 15 at 1:30pm.

Produced by Pushcart Players, Stone Soup and Other Stories is a musical compilation of favorite tales from Africa, India, Eastern Europe and the United States. Filled with music, color, fantasy and fun, each story introduces the spirit and customs of these unique cultures. "The play gently raises universal value clarification issues," said Ruth Fost, Pushcart's co-founder, executive artistic director and co-author of the play. "Family audiences will be delighted by the show. Then they'll find themselves discussing why certain characters made certain choices, and how outcomes would have differed with different behavior." The cast includes Oscar Castillo, Jaclyn Ingoglia, JD Lynch and Phebe Taylor. Paul Whelihan directs the production and the music is by Carole Wechter. Stone Soup and Other Stories is part of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance Stages Festival and has been generously sponsored by the Alliance.

Tickets are $10 for Members; $12 for Non-members; and $9 for Groups (20 or more). For every paying adult, one child gets in free.

Tickets may be purchased by phone at (973) 971-3706, or in person at the Bickford Theatre Box Office. The Bickford Theatre is an integral part of the Morris Museum, located at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown, NJ, and offers free parking and full accessibility.
