Brigid Harrington (Mary Poppins) has been cast to play the title role in Bellarine Theatre Company's production of Annie for three performances only, August 16th-18th.

Harrington played "Jane Banks" on Broadway opposite three different "Mary's" (Ashley Brown, Laura Michelle Kelly, and Steffanie Leigh). Harrington was last seen in Broadway's 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition. Her parody of Elizabeth Taylor in "Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf" was part of the Mary Poppins skit that won First Runner-Up for Best Stage Presentation. Harrington can also be heard daily on the Disney Channel as the voice of "Koko" in the animated series "Chuggington".

Bellarine Theatre Company is proud to feature an Equity actress, Brigid Harrington as Annie. This will give Bellarine's audience in Southern New Jersey a chance to see this classic American show before it is presented on Broadway later this year. The cast of Annie is energetic, talented, and comes from all over New Jersey. Bellarine Theatre Company is new to South Jersey…only in their second season! Their first production was The Wedding Singer in 2011, funded by a 10K Pepsi Refresh Grant, followed by Ocean County’s premier production of Next to Normal that brought a whole new level of credibility to the group.

Bellarine is excited to bring this family classic to the surrounding communities. You can look for more information on the website, www.bellarinetheatre.com, or on Brigid’s website, www.brigidharrington.com.
