The Ocean Professional Theatre Company will present MAN OF LAMANCHA on 6/19-7/8 at the Bengal Theatre, 180 Bengal Blvd, Barnegat, NJ 08005 to open their Premiere Summer Season. The production will star John Davidson as Don Quixote with Broadway Producer and actress Heather Provost as Aldonza.

The show is directed by Andrew Glant Linden with scenic design by David Esler, lighting design by Jeff Greenberg and musical direction by Michael McAssey.

Long time star of stage and screen John was known for TV work on That’s Incredible, Hollywood Squares, hosting the Tonight Show over 80 times, numerous appearances on Love Boat, Fantasy Island, The Ed Sullivan Show, Sonny and Cher and the Streets of San Fransisco to name a few. He starred in the Broadway show State Fair as well as numerous Regional Productions and National Tours and is currently about to perform in the Off Broadway production of The Fantasticks as the Old Actor June 1st though the June 16th. www.johndavidson.com

With John is actress and producer Heather Provost as Aldonza. Heather is a Tony-Nominated and Drama desk-Nominated Producer. Heather is a TONY Nominated, DRAMA DESK, OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE, and DRAMA LEAGUE Nominated Producer.

Critically acclaimed hits on Broadway include “Reasons To Be Pretty” written by Neil LaBute (3 Tony Nominations including Best Play) and the musical “[title of show]” (Tony Nomination for Best Book of a Musical) following its hit Off-Broadway run, which garnered three OBIE Awards. She also produced the hugely successful “Under My Skin” segment of The Pink Campaign on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre, in which all proceeds were donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
She produced and directed the California Theatre's critically acclaimed productions of “Driving Miss Daisy,” and “Love Letters,” and is the Producer of the Theatre for Young Audiences Equity tours of “Page To The Stage” and “History of Musical Theater", the new Broadway-bound play, “Coffee Stains”, and is transferring the Los Angeles hit The Black Version starring Wayne Brady to the New York stage.

Provost was the creator and executive producer of the TV show "Reality Check", creator of the new "Who Knew?...The In-the-Know Travel Show”, is an accomplished comedy writer and book doctor for live shows and TV, and is in development on the new TV comedy "McCracken Live". Other credits include My Heart Is In Melbourne, The Baby Room, Family Is Everything, Experiments, From the Future, Year of the Cracker, and CHIX 6.

Prior to producing, Heather was a successful actress working on both stage and for camera. She created the role of Charlotte in the MGM musical "Mermaids" based on the Cher and Winona Ryder film. Other favorite NY/LA/Tours/Regional Theatre credits include: Rizzo- "Grease", Rusty- "Footloose" (Theater League Award), Sally Bowles-"Cabaret", Anita-"West Side Story", DiAna Morales-"A Chorus Line", Fortune Teller-"Side Show", Narrator-"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", Florence-"Chess", Florence Gill-"The Mystery of Edwin Drood", "California Dreamin'" (Canadian company), Disney's Aladdin (Original cast), The Witch-"Into the Woods", Aldonza-"Man of la Mancha" (opposite John Davidson) and numerous other stage productions. In the world of film and television she is best known for her roles on Hot Off the Grill with Bobby Flay on the Food Network, Reno 911, Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty, Reality Check, Sketch and the City, Shadows, the much anticipated The Ghastly Love of Johnny X which just premiered at Cinequest to huge acclaim, and she became an internet sensation on the popular series The Retarded Policeman. She was named Funniest/Sexiest on the Funniest Commercials of the Year for her turn as Ms. Stern in PartyPoker.com's worldwide advertising campaign and became a hit in Europe by starring in the fun "Do You Love Curves?" Renault cars advertising campaign.

The performance schedule is June 21, 24, 26, 28, July 1, 3, 5, 8 at 2:00 pm; June 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 at 8:00 pm; July 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 at 8:00 pm.
