The George Street Playhouse presents CREATING CLAIRE beginning May 21. The production which stars Tony nominee Barbara Walsh was originally set to begin performances May 11 with Sandy Duncan. Duncan was forced to withdraw due to an illness.

CREATING CLAIRE features Lynn Cohen, Michael Countryman and Celia Keenan-Bolger. CREATING CLAIRE is written by Joe DiPietro who also penned the Tony nominated MEMPHIS.

CREATING CLAIRE tells the story of an employee of the Natural History Museum who getting into hot water when her guided tours deviate from the scientific facts.

Barbara Walsh, celebrated Tony and Drama Desk award nominated actress in such Broadway musicals as the 2007 revival of COMPANY, FALSETTOS, BIG, HAIRSPRAY, BLOOD BROTHERS, NINE AND ROCK AND ROLL: THE FIRST 5,000 YEARS.

Joe DiPietro is a Tony nominee for Best Book of a Musical for the hit MEMPHIS. DiPietro also wrote the book for ALL SHOOK UP, as well as the book and lyrics for THE TOXIC AVENGER, THE THING ABOUT MEN and I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT NOW CHANGE.
