"When we think summer and cult films we immediately thought of Friday The 13th" says Higgins, The Rep''s Special Series Curator. "We are so excited to bring the seacoast not only a great summer horror film, but one of the most iconic monsters in cinematic history...plus the man who started it all!" .

Friday The 13th is a horror "slasher" film at its finest. A group of teenage camp counselors arrive early to prepare for another summer at Crystal Lake. Soon, as hormones heat up, a killer lurks in the darkness, offing each teen with horrific and dramatic flair. Friday The 13th was a box office smash in 1980, and many believed helped jumpstart the career of Kevin Bacon (in his first leading role). Lehman landed the role as the tortured Jason Vorhees, and went on to make cinematic history as one of the most iconic film monsters to date. Lehman now is the front man for the metal band "First Jason" and he will be showing off his musical skills with a full band for the pre-show entertainment.

"This is a game changer for us" says Timothy Fife, co-director of Let''s "B" Reel. "By bringing in the actor who played one films most notorious monsters, we are hopeful that this screening will continue to put on us on the cultural map of seacoast, and let people know that we mean business...weird business!"

Friday The 13th with the original Jason, Ari Lehman will be screened Wed. July 9th, 2014 at 7:30pm at Seacoast Repertory Theatre. Lobby and Bar open at 6:30pm. Pre-show will begin promptly at 7:30pm.
