After each of the nine performances, cast members of Legally Blonde, The Musical made their way to the Palace Theatre lobby wielding pink buckets and pink ribbons to greet audience members and accept donations for the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition (NHBCC). The cast members raised more than $3,000 for NHBCC, an organization which provides assistance to New Hampshire residents with breast cancer.

Artistic Director Carl Rajotte anticipated Legally Blonde, a contemporary, heartfelt story would appeal to diverse audiences -- young and old, but never expected such an encouraging response from the diverse crowd. “I am overjoyed at the audience’s powerful response to our production and am overwhelmed by their generosity not only with their donations, but also with their feedback to the cast each night,” said Rajotte.

“This Spring, as we dressed the Palace Theatre in pink for the New Hampshire stage premiere of Legally Blonde, The Musical, we felt it was only befitting that we seize the opportunity to raise awareness and ask our historically generous audiences to think pink and support The New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition’s work at the state level,” states Peter Ramsey, CEO/President of the Palace Theatre.

The New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition (NHBCC) is a statewide, all volunteer, grassroots organization whose mission is to advocate for and provide assistance to New Hampshire residents with breast cancer. NHBCC helps breast cancer patients deal with financial challenges through its Support Services Fund and supports the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s Breast Cancer Deadline 2020®.
