From July 15 to the 24 Oz Productions will present The Other Two Men by Lisa Shapter at The Players' Ring, 105 Marcy Street, Portsmouth NH. Tomer Oz directs Shapter's play, with Emery Lawrence and Bailey Weakly as two clones figure out if their future is a choice or not. This is the debut performance of Shapter's first play. It is based on an ongoing series of short stories published in Black Denim Lit.

Lisa Shapter attended Earlham College in Indiana and the Bread Loaf Young Writers' Conference (now the New England Young Writers' Conference) in Middlebury, Vermont. She has worked for two small university presses, completed an apprenticeship the antiquarian bookstore The Book Guild of Portsmouth. She is currently researching a history of early female science fiction authors for a university press. Her fiction explores themes of identity, orientation, and gender. She is a member of the Dramatists' Guild of America and Codex Writers' Group. Her novella set in a fictionalized Portsmouth (A Day in Deep Freeze) was published by Aqueduct Press last year. Her short stories featuring this play's science fiction setting have appeared in Black Denim Lit, Expanded Horizons, Four Star Stories, Kaleidotrope, and in the M-Brane SF anthology Things We Are Not. Black Denim Lit is currently publishing an 18-story series with this play's characters.
