Two works by Sergei Prokofiev Adapted and choreographed by Susan Endrizzi Peter and the Wolf: Against his grandfather's wishes, brave Peter sets out to capture a wolf. Along the way he encounters some animal friends and becomes the hero of his village. Based on a popular Russian children's story and set to Prokofiev's world-famous score, this is a magical introduction to classical music and ballet. First movement of Prokofiev's "Piano Concerto No.3." This abstract contemporary ballet piece shows the diversity of Prokofiev's music, when compared to the more traditional Peter and the Wolf. Alice in Wonderland Adapted and choreographed by Gay Nardone This jazz/tap/aerial interpretation of Alice in Wonderland tells of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The lines of reality versus fantasy are blurred as Alice desperately tries to find her way back home.

Now Playing Onstage in New Hampshire - Week of 3/23/2014 THE PRODUCERS
PALACE THEATRE
3/21-4/5/2014
Bialystock and Bloom! Those names should strike terror and hysteria in anyone familiar with Mel Brooks' classic cult comedy film. Now as a big Broadway musical, THE PRODUCERS once again sets the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor. It is a truly "boffo" hit, winning a record twelve Tony Awards and wowing capacity crowds night after night. The plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive "Springtime For Hitler"), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is a lesson in broad comic construction. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends. With a truly hysterical book co-written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan (ANNIE) and music and lyrics by Mr. Brooks , THE PRODUCERS skewers Broadway traditions and takes no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an "equal opportunity offender!"

Now Playing Onstage in New Hampshire - Week of 3/23/2014 LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
ST ANSELM COLLEGE
3/28-4/5/2014
A down-and out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination! One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name, thanks to a highly successful film version and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who redefined the animated musical film with Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Charming, tuneful and hilarious, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS never fails to entertain. A small cast, band and unit set make the other aspects of production a snap.

Now Playing Onstage in New Hampshire - Week of 3/23/2014 HAIR
Seacoast Repertory Theatre
3/28-4/19/2014
Puts rock music and the culture that went with it on stage. The show has a strong effect on everyone, and acts as a bridge between generations and viewpoints. What looks like incredible chaos is actually organized chaos. Phenomenal musical numbers include Aquarius, Good Morning Starshine, I Believe in Love, Hair, I Got Life and What a Piece of Work Is Man. This show has vitality, timelessness and a meaning that outlives the late 1960's and early 1970's in America.
