Senior Repertory students will take the stage in May 2010 for Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's hilarious comedy You Can't Take It With You. NHTP's award-winning Senior Repertory Company presents this much beloved comedy about the crazy Sycamores, whose youngest daughter Alice has fallen in love with a boy from a very proper family. Led by its zany patriarch Grandpa, the Sycamores teach us that love, laughter, creativity and passion are much more important than material possessions. Written in 1937, You Can't Take It With You seems more relevant than ever in our crazy world. "Oh, the world's not so crazy, " says Grandpa (played by Robbie McCluskey), "it's the people in it. Life's pretty simple if you just relax. But the trouble is, people forget that."

Directed by Genevieve Aichele, the Senior Repertory Company is a conservatory level training program for high school students who are deeply committed to learning the craft of theatre. Graduating seniors Hannah Feintuch (Penny Sycamore), Punit Matta (Mr. Kirby), Gracie Derby (The Man), and Annabelle Lewis (Mr. De Pinna) will join dedicated Youth Rep Students from Portsmouth, Kittery, Durham, North Berwick, Newfields, Dover, Rye, Rollinsford and Eliot to portray the wacky misadventures of the Sycamore family. Professional production team includes Quentin Stockwell, lighting designer; Kathy Mason, costume designer; Meghann Beauchamp, scenic designer; Liz Krane, properties master; and Rebecca Rudolf, stage manager.
