Celinde Schoenmaker Sings Disney in Amsterdam Concertgebouw This Weekend

Celinde Schoenmaker, fresh from playing 'Fantine' in the West End production of Les Miserables to much acclaim, will star in a concert of Disney music in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. The concert will play a matinee and evening tonight, August 17 and a matinee on the 18th.

Joining Schoenmaker will be Jamai Loman (LES MIS, MISS SAIGON, TV's Idols), Freek Bartels (NEXT TO NORMAL, LES MIS, JOSEPH) and Peal Jozefzoon (LEGALLY BLONDE). They will be accompagnied by the Metropool orchestra.

The concert will pay tribute to such Disney shows and films as LION KING, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE LITTLE MERMAID and ALADDIN.

The Amsterdam Concertgebouw is one of the best concert halls in the world, famous for its exceptional acoustics. It serves as the home base of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and features performances by the world's best orchestras, conductors and soloists.

Bartels, after a summer stint in THE NORMAL HEART, and Schoenmaker will play lovers in the upcoming LOVE STORY.

DISNEY IN CONCERT is produced by Erwin van Lambaart, the ousted chief executive of Stage Entertainment. He joined forced with TV personality and producer Ivo Niehe to form a new theatrical producing company. While still at Stage Entertainment, Van Lambaart previously presented a touring production of DISNEY MUSICAL SING-A-LONG, starring Loman.
