Robin Williams Takes WEAPONS OF SELF DESTRUCTION to Town Hall, 11/23 - 12/3

Robin Williams will be taking his newest solo show, Weapons of Self Destruction, to New York City's Town Hall this fall.  The show will be a limited engagement from November 23-December 3.

Weapons of Self Destruction explores (unfavorably) the eight years of George Bush's presidency and other political absurdities.  It also touches on Williams' struggles with his own demons including divorce, addiction, and rehab in a familiar stand-up routine that has become his staple.

This re-launching of the tour on September 30 as previously reported comes after a postponement this past spring due to heart surgery. The tour will also be stopping in Atlantic City, Chicago, Atlanta, Orlando, Detroit, Saint Louis, and Washington, D.C. The show will be filmed in D.C. to air as an HBO comedy event on December 6.

Having rose to fame with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series Mork and Mindy, and later stand up comedy work, Williams has performed in many feature films since 1980. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting. He has also won three Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and three Grammy AwardS. Williams has appeared on the New York stage in Waiting for Godot, and Robin Williams: Live on Broadway, and V.I.P. Night on Broadway. His many other films include Dead Poets Society, Mrs Doubtfire, Awakenings, Hook, The Fisher King, Patch Adams, Happy Feet, and Night at the Museum.
