It's a family affair of sorts as Brentwood's Towne Centre Theatre presents the classic I Remember Mama as its next production. Mother-daughter duo Paula and Annaliese Higgins take to the stage together in the lighthearted I Remember Mama, which follows an immigrant family in 1910 San Francisco struggling to make ends meet.

Described a "a sweet and endearing look at the American dream for all types during any era in our nation's history," I Remember Mama features Paula Higgins as the headstrong Mama, while Annaliese Higgins plays her daughter Katrin. Recently transplanted to Tennessee, the two actresses have been looking for an opportunity to share the limelight and, at the same time, that would allow them to become more involved with the Brentwood community.

Comic relief comes in the form of an unassuming father (Dan Kassis), three boisterous aunts (Jean Hoogewind, Julie Murphy, Beth Henderson), a fearsome uncle with a kind heart (Dave Thoreson), and the eccentric personalities that surround them. Rounding out the cast are Ross Birdsong, Canon Henderson, Lucy Turner, Joe Shepherd, Preston Crook, Eli Grimes, Adam Binford, Maureen Hawks, Becky Cooper, JeAnnie Mackey, Rosa Brewer, and Robert Duncan.

Nashville theatre veteran Marianne Clark directs the production, running April 9 through May 1. Reservations May be made by calling (615) 221-1174 or online at http://www.townecentretheatre.com.
