Donelson's Larry Keeton Theatre will present the turn-of-the-century classic Meet Me in St. Louis, November 5-21, directed and choreographed by Kate Adams-Johnson, with music direction by Ginger Newman.

The show, based on the beloved 1944 MGM movie, contains many of the popular songs from its film counterpart including "The Trolley Song", "The Boy Next Door", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "Meet Me In St. Louis."

Meet Me in St. Louis is the story of a year in the Smith's family's life, as they anticipate the wonders of the 1904 World's Fair. The play includes seven of the best loved songs from the film and ten other wonderful numbers, also by Martin and Blane, written specially for the stage.

Adams-Johnson is passionate about the show: "This has been a favorite musical of mine ever since my father took me to the theater to see the movie as a littl girl. We have such a talented cast and crew, whom are creating a wonderful production. Anyone who ha fond memories of this movie will enjoy seeing it brought to life on the stage."

The show features a newcomer to the Keeton stage - Casey Gilbert, a freshman at Belmont University - playing Esther Smith, the role created on film by Judy Garland. Appearing as John Truitt, her love interest is Daniel Collins, who recently graced the Keeton stage as Dean Hyde in All Shook Up. Other principals in the cast include Jenni Higgins (Rose Smith), Jacob Layne (Warren Sheffield), Trey Palmer (Lon Smith), Jamie London (Katie), and rounding out the cast are the husband and wife team of Kevin and Donna Driver as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Ginger Newman, recently named by the Nashville Scene as Best Musical Director for Keeton's production of Swing! is serving as musical director and conductor for the show.

The show will run at the Keeton Theatre November 5-21,  with evening performances at 7 p.m. and matinees at 2 p.m. Seating for dinner for the evening shows begins at 6:00 p.m., and for lunch before the matinees at 1 p.m. Tickets are $25 for dinner and the show, with a show only rateof $20.
