Beginning tonight, October 31, A Sanders Family Christmas, the heartwarming sequel to Connie Ray and Alan Bailey's wildly successful bluegrass/gospel musical Smoke on the Mountain, returns to Cumberland County Playhouse for its sixteenth year! It's Christmas Eve, 1941, and America is going to war. So is Dennis Sanders of the Sanders Family Singers. So the family gathers for one last holiday sing at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church before Dennis ships out to boot camp. Join Pastor Mervin Oglethorpe and the rest of the family as they share their music and witness - and send Dennis off with hilarious and touching stories and twenty-five Southern Gospel Christmas favorites.

Directed by Weslie Webster, this year's cast will feature Cody Murphy as Pastor Oglethorpe, Patty Payne as June Sanders, Daniel Black as Burl Sanders, Lauren Marshall as Vera Sanders (and the show's Music Director), and Malachi Banegas and Ellie Burnett as twins Dennis and Denise Sanders.

Faith, family and fun abound in this heavenly holiday favorite that's been pleasing Playhouse audiences for sixteen years. It's got great gospel music, uproarious laughter and a romantic surprise! A Sanders Family Christmas is rated G and runs through December 21, with three out-of-town tour dates:

• Nov. 30 at 3:00 PM EDT - Rhea County Courthouse, Dayton, TN

• Dec. 4 at 7:00 PM EDT - North Cleveland Church of God, Cleveland, TN

• Dec. 12 at 7:30 PM - Gem Theater, Etowah, TN
