Montreal's Segal Centre for Performing Arts offers the chance to see The Musical classic by Frank Loesser Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows "Guys and Dolls" from September 30, 2012 to October 28, 2012 at Montreal, and Broadway world got a first look at this amazing and sumptuous production! This production, directed by Diana Leblanc stars Tony Nominee Scott Wenthorh as Sky Materson, Tracy Michailidis (Beauty and the Beast) as Sarah Brown and Frank Moore (The Drowsy Chaperone, Urinetown) et Susan Henley (Hairspray) as Nathan Detroit, and his fiancée Adelaide. The original production, which opened to unanimous raved reviews, played 1200 performs at the 46th Street Theatre from Nov 24, 1950 to Nov 28,1950 and won 6 Tonys, including Best Musical, and the Pulitzer Prize. A Hollywood adaptation directed and written by Joseph Mankiewicz and starring Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando, Jean Simons and Vivian Blaine, who reprises the role of Adelaide that she creates on Broadway, was released in 1955. Numerous productions were perform all over the role since it's opening on Broadway, including a successful revival on Broadway in 1992 starring Nathan Lane and Faith Prince , which received 4 Tonys, including Best Revival of a Musical, and the 2005 London production starring Ewan McGregor and Jane Krakowski.
