Returning to the stage after more than a decade, Dorothée Berryman makes her Centaur debut in Steve Galluccio's The St. Léonard Chronicles, October 1- 27, 2013.

The Genie Award and Jutra nominated actress will join Christina Broccolini, Guido Cocomello, Ellen David, Michel Perron, Vittorio Rossi and Jocelyne Zucco, who were all part of Mr. Galluccio's last box-office hit at Centaur Theatre, In Piazza San Domenico.

"For Steve Galluccio's The St. Léonard Chronicles, creating a believable extended family is vital. After holding days of auditions, we are happy to announce that we've reassembled much of the wonderful cast who played in Steve's last play, In Piazza San Domenico. In the midst of this process, Dorothée came into the theatre and immediately Steve and I fell in love with her - we knew she'd be perfect in the pivotal role of Gina and that she'd be a fantastic addition to the marvelous company of actors."- Director Roy Surette, Centaur's Artistic and Executive Director.

Celebrated actress, singer, and radio host Dorothée Berryman's unforgettable performance in the Oscar nominated film The Decline of the American Empire earned her a best actress nomination at Canada's Genie Awards. Seventeen years later, Dorothée Berryman and her co-stars returned in The Barbarian Invasions, the sequel to The Decline of the American Empire. The film garnered many prestigious awards, including the 2004 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Ms. Berryman was nominated for the Prix Jutra for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

From 2004 to 2011, Dorothée Berryman produced and hosted her much appreciated weekly jazz shows on Radio-Canada/Espace Musique.

"Returning to the stage after more than a decade - how thrilled and honoured I am to play at Centaur for the very first time and to originate the part of Gina in this crazy, wonderful new play by Steve Galluccio!"

Alongside Ms. Berryman and Michel Perron (Carmine) are Christina Broccolini as their daughter Terry and Guido Cocomello as their son-in-law Robert. Jocelyne Zucco returns to Centaur's stage as the narcoleptic matriarch Dora. Robert's parents will be Centaur favourites Vittorio Rossi (Dante) and Ellen David (Elisa).

The St. Léonard Chronicles, talented Montealer Steve Galluccio's third production to be produced at Centaur Theatre, sets the table for a family dinner that will leave you in stitches! Just like the memorable characters and hilarious situations that made Mambo Italiano and In Piazza San Domenico such box-office hits, this premier production of Galluccio's newest comedy will have Centaur crowds laughing out loud!

Ms. Berryman will also be performing in A Season of Songs, the 9th Annual Gala in support of Centaur Theatre. This colourful selection of musical favourites from theatre and film is inspired by the changing seasons and productions from Centaur Theatre's 45th Season.
