Theatre Agile, Altera Vitae Productions and the Rialto Theatre present Marg Szkabula (Pissy's Wife). The cabaret-style play, written by Ron Chambers, directed by Lib Spry (assisted by Luciana Burcheri) and starring Carolyn Fe with musical sidekick, Le Jack runs in the Rialto Hall from May 15 to 26, 2013. With Ms Fe's love of music and theatre, this one woman show is a natural for the raspy-voiced blues diva (see bio below).

When an Alberta farmwife joins a group of singing women and discovers she has a voice, she breaks free of the isolation and rough environment. While playing a country blues set at a local honky-tonk bar, Marg Szkabula tells the crowd her colourful story. This self-proclaimed 'hard woman' tells of her abusive marriage to Pissy and her escape to a surprising new life as a country blues singer. A bitterly funny night featuring such memorable melodies as "Bad Breath and Uncut Toenails", "Was it Love?" and "Get on Your Horse and Ride", in a genre the Calgary Herald dubbed "vintage country punk".

The show runs Evenings - 8:00 pm, May 15 to 18 and 22 to 25 and Matinées - 2:30 pm, May 19 and 26. Tickets: $20. 20% off on dinner at Restaurant Il Rialto on event night upon presentation of your ticket. Box Office: 514-770-7773 or www.ticketpro.ca at Rialto Hall (2nd floor) 5723, av. du Parc Montreal, H2V 4G9. For more information, visit www.theatrerialto.ca or click HERE.
