Following sold out performances across the country, Montreal-based storyteller and choreographer, Stéphanie Morin-Robert, is bringing her one-woman show, BLINDSIDE, to Montreal's Theatre Ste-Catherine for three days only. This award-winning physical comedy is Stéphanie's personal account of growing up with cancer and a glass eye, and the struggle of turning a disadvantage into a superpower. Boasting successful runs at the Refinery (Saskatoon SK), UnoFest (Victoria BC), and the Phenomenal Festival (Montreal QC), BLINDSIDE returns to Montreal from March 17th-19th in anticipation of a tour of the national Fringe Festival circuit in summer 2016.

In BLINDSIDE, a prospector's recent diamond discovery forces his daughter, a young and sheltered cancer patient with a prosthetic eye, to change schools in the middle of the third grade. While her family members are distracted by their luxurious new lifestyles, she struggles with finding the confidence it takes to face her tormenting bullies at her n ew school. With the help of her cat, a pair of sunglasses, and an undesirable superpower, she soon discovers that she has what it takes to fight back and come to terms with her disability.

"I am very excited to bring Blindside back to Montreal," says Morin-Robert. "This city has such a vibrant artistic community whose support has been vital to development of this piece."

Stéphanie is a Canadian interdisciplinary artist, producer and critic whose productions bring together artists across provinces and genres. Her unique heartwarming humour appeals to those of all ages and fosters an intimate and inclusive environment. Stéphanie is dedicated to spreading anti-bullying awareness through personal experience. Her company For Body And Light, a collaboration with Spoken Word Artist Ian Ferrier, has created two productions, COMING AND GOING and BEAR DREAMS, which have been celebrated at festivals in every major Canadian city.

BLINDSIDE plays at Theatre Sainte-Catherine (264 Ste-Catherine E) from March 17th-19th at 7pm with a matinee on March 19th at 1pm. Tickets are $15, available for purchase online at www.theatresaintecatherine.com, by phone at (514) 284-3939, or at the door.
