The University of Montana will present Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a fresh twist on the story of literature's most famous penny-pincher. Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol runs in the Montana Theatre of the Performing Arts and Radio/Television Center on campus November 25, 29-30, and December 2-6, 2014.

This crowd-pleasing holiday play needs no introduction. The tale of one core-shaking night in the life of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge-that expands into a timeless journey recounting his past, present, and future-is inherently theatrical. As brought to the stage with a script by Jere Lee Hodgin, one of Theatre & Dance's faculty members, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will also be a joyous version of the classic story driven by an unforgettable ensemble. Nationally recognized character actor Mark Metcalf will be playing the part of Ebenezer Scrooge

As a special addition to the production, don't miss the Giving Tree in the PARTV Lobby with Christmas Request Tags on it for children from Youth Homes and Watson's Children's Shelter, many of whom will be guests at the performances. The Giving Tree will be in the Lobby from November 24 to December 12. The tree itself is being donated to by Pink Grizzly. For more information on our Giving Tree, or on how you can donate to Youth Homes or Watson's Children's Shelter, please contact Teresa Waldorf at 243-2854.
