ABOUT THE PLAY Holes was the first book chosen for the Seattle area's literacy initiative program: "What if All Kids Read the Same Book?" Sponsored by Seattle Children's Theatre, Seattle Public Library, the King County Library System and Seattle Public Schools, the region-wide program encouraged young members of the community, beginning February 1, 2002, to read and discuss Holes, and to see a performance of Seattle Children's Theatre's world premiere stage adaptation (running April-June). The production was directed by Seattle Children's Theatre's artistic director, Linda Hartzell; set design was by Carey Wong, lighting design was by Greg Sullivan and costume design was by Marcia Dixcy Jory. After adapting his novel into a play, Mr. Sachar won the Roger L. Stevens award from the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays and received the AT&T: OnStage Award from Theatre Communications Group. Holes will also be made into a major motion picture produced by Phoenix Pictures and Walden Media, directed by Andrew Davis, whose credits include The Fugitive and A Perfect Murder. NOVA CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

St. Nicholas - When a jaded and cynical Dublin Drama critic comes under the spell of a beautiful young actress and pursues her into a coven of vampires in modern day London, storytelling at its spooky best comes to vivid life. Is it all a drunken lie? A tantalizing fairy tale? Or is it his own version of a higher truth? Conor McPherson's stunning one-man play is an intriguing, well-told story offering a unique perspective on the myth of vampires.

Now Playing Onstage in Montana - Week of 3/02/2014 PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES
Billings Studio Theatre
3/7-3/22/2014
On Highway 57 stands a roadside gas station across the blacktop from "The Double Cupp Diner". Jim, Jackson, Eddie and L.M. have been known to do a few auto repairs, but only when aided by quantities of spare time and beer. The neighborly Cupp sisters, Prudie and Rhetta, offer homestyle cooking with zest and zeal. Pump Boys and Dinettes is a musical tribute to life by the roadside with good friends, good music and life's simple pleasures. There are pie raffles, snapshots of winners in the lobby, and music galore. It's refreshing as a cold beer after a bowl of five alarm chili.
