In what many regard as his finest play, Tom Stoppard (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Real Inspector Hound) bends time and space to bring abstract ideas of math, philosophy, and historical inquiry to vivid life, and irrevocably mixes comedy and tragedy.
