Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents The Beaux Stratagem in weekend performances today, May 30 through June 22, 2014.

Two beaux -- the original dirty rotten scoundrels -- are penniless after living the good life in London, so they come up with a strategy: find and seduce a wealthy heiress and get all her money.

This lusty, swashbuckling romp has delighted audiences since it was first produced in 1707, and its comedy has been sharpened even more in this adaptation by Thornton Wilder (Our Town) and modern comic playwright Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Treasure Island).

Daniel Ellis directs a cast of 18, with sets designed by Sadie Ward, costumes by Rebecca Karstad, lighting by Chad van Kekerix, and original score by Adam Conrad and Benjamin Kelly.

An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, June 15th.

Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
