Considered the "gold standard" of Pink Floyd tribute bands, THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW returns to Minneapolis with a brand new show at the State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016. After 26 years of performing, Australian Pink Floyd continues to deliver the "best of the best" of Pink Floyd to audiences worldwide.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 6 at the State Theatre Box Office, charge-by-phone at (800) 982-2787 and online at HennepinTheatreTrust.org.

In their new "Best of the Best" tour, Australian Pink Floyd covers a wider range of material with a well-balanced set that is truly representative of Pink Floyd's work throughout the years. They will perform songs from the early Syd Barrett years, "Meddle," "Dark Side of the Moon," "Wish You Were Here," "Animals," "The Wall," "The Final Cut," "Momentary Lapse of Reason" and "The Division Bell." Accompanying the updated performance are a stunning light and laser show, video animations, state of the art LED screen technology and large inflatables, including a giant pig and their own distinct Pink Kangaroo.

Often described as being more than a tribute band, Australian Pink Floyd is the first Pink Floyd tribute show that took the concept out of the pubs and onto the worldwide arena circuit. The band has played to sold-out audiences throughout Europe, the U.K., the U.S., Canada, South America, Israel and Russia.

Described by The Times as "the gold standard" and The Daily Mirror as "the kings of the genre," Australian Pink Floyd gave its first ever concert in Adelaide, Australia in 1988. Since then, they have performed in more than 35 countries and sold millions of tickets around the globe. They even played at Pink Floyd guitarist's David Gilmour's 50th birthday celebration and were joined on stage by original band member Rick Wright.
