Single Tickets for Minneapolis Musical Theatre's 2013-14 Season On Sale Today

Minneapolis Musical Theatre and Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced that single tickets for Carrie The Musical, Five Course Love and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson will go on sale at 10 a.m. today, July 10. Tickets can be purchased in person (no service fees) at the New Century Theatre Box Office (ground floor of City Center in downtown Minneapolis), online at HennepinTheatreTrust.org or through Ticketmaster by calling 1.800.982.2787 or visiting a Ticketmaster Ticket Center.

Running from October 2013 through June 2014, this triumvirate of shows is Minneapolis Musical Theatre's 2013-14 season showcasing new or rarely seen musical works. All are Twin Cities debuts and will be directed by Steven Meerdink, MMT's artistic director. This will be the second season in the partnership between Minneapolis Musical Theatre and the Trust, strengthening both organizations by combining resources in artistic exploration, audience development, community outreach and downtown revival.

October 4-27, 2013
Carrie The Musical: Based on Stephen King's best-selling novel and the classic 1976 film starring Sissy Spacek, this MMT adaptation of the musical which opened on Broadway in 1988 features a book by Lawrence Cohen, the film's screenwriter.

January 24-February 16, 2014
Five Course Love: This quintet of humorous and witty vignettes was called "artfully silly and genuinely funny...hilarious and imaginative" by the Associated Press. Showcasing three actors playing fifteen different characters in five different restaurants, it explores the hunt for true love.

Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson: The coveted Twin Cities debut of this comedic rock musical re-invents the life of Andrew Jackson, our nation's seventh president. Nominated for two Tony Awards, the New York Times called it "the most entertaining and most perceptive political theatre of the season."

Ticket prices range from $24 to $29 depending on performance time.
